Perfectly Posh - Best Shower Ever!

I have a confession. Before I found Posh, I HATED taking a shower.  I still took them, but it was out of necessity, and they lasted 5 minutes or less. Now that I know all the wonderful things Posh has to offer, I look forward to a long shower. I have been known to take two showers on a Saturday or Sunday, just because I felt like it!

So let's talk about the Best. Shower. Ever.

I had a wax warmer on for about an hour, with a nice lavender scent in it, so the bathroom smelled I'm Turning Blueberry soothing face mask first, using a mask applicator brush.  Then set the shower head set to a rainfall intensity spray, and the water nice and warm, but not hot.
lovely and relaxing. I applied the

Stand under the water for a few minutes, then wash my hair with the End Mend Shampoo, followed by End Mend Conditioner which I combed through my hair and let sit. (After my hair dried, it was silky smooth!)

Now that my hair was being pampered, I rinsed the face mask off, then washed my face with the Olive My Love gentle face wash, followed by the Whole Lava Love for a nice exfoliation. My face was so soft and smooth afterward, I couldn't believe it.

With my face feeling pampered, it was time to focus on the rest of me. I used the  Love the Dark scrub from neck to waist for an all-over exfoliation which left my skin silky smooth. I moved on to the legs - again I used Love the Dark, but as a shaving cream! I rubbed it in until it turned into a lather of sorts, then shaved without rinsing first. This gave me a nice, close shave, by exfoliating before the razor hit my legs.

I didn't want my feet to feel left out, so I used the Rubby Scrubby exfoliating soap stick all over my feet to get off dead skin and callouses. The peppermint essential oil in it left me with a cool tingle, while my feet were nice and smooth.

Lastly, I used the Good Morning Beautiful {Chunk} to wash. I actually use a shower pouf with the {Chunk} - I just rub the soap on the pouf (which produces a nice lather, more than just using the {Chunk} directly on the skin) and then wash with the pouf. Rinse off, rinse conditioner out of my hair, and hop out of the shower!

Now it's time to moisturize! First I used the Never Grow Up anti-aging serum all over my face and neck to fight crow's feet and laugh lines from forming/getting worse. Next, I grabbed the Snuggle Buddy Skin Joy body butter which is a nice floral scent, but not girly at all, and not "old lady" floral, either. And there's just a hint of vanilla to it. Snuggle buddy from neck to toes! It soaks in really quickly, so I was able to get dressed right away without worrying that it would rub off on my clothes. By that time, the serum had plenty of time to soak in, so I used the Never Grow Up face cream to do double duty on the crow's feet and laugh lines. I may be turning 40 this year, but I don't want my face to look like I am!

I felt like I had just spent hours at a spa! But I didn't have to leave the house, spend a ton of money,  or put on any makeup!

Before bed, I will use the Call It A Night face oil on my face and neck, followed by the Goodnight Kisses lip mask, and the Warm Your Sole foot balm for some moisturizing and pampering while I sleep!

Perfectly Posh Product Review: Girl Crush Skin Joy Body Butter

This catalog transition, the body butters got a facelift! Posh kept the two base formulas and changed it up a bit. They added a foil vacuum seal, which allowed us to reduce the number of natural preservatives used.

Girl Crush is the shea butter base formula, which is the thicker of the two. As you can see in the photo, it is very thick and creamy! The amount I have on my finger here was enough to cover both arms! This is going to be fabulous this winter when my skin gets dried out!

The scent is amazing. It's described as "a blend of apricot, orange, and a tart cranberry twist." I can't detect much of the cranberry, but the blend of apricot and orange is divine.

After putting this on my arms to check out the scent and feel, I have to say this is pretty awesome. My skin is nice and hydrated. I don't feel greasy at all! Like all the other Posh products, this body butter soaks right into the skin, rather than sitting on top of it like an oil slick.

Perfectly Posh Product Review: Orange Cara-Mellow lip scrub

I love our lip scrubs, especially in winter. To me, they are exfoliating lip balms. You put a small amount on your lips, and rub your lips together. The granules of sugar remove dead skin, allowing the balm to penetrate deep to moisturize and nourish. Licking the excess sugar off is the best part!

Lip scrubs combine sugar granules with shea butter, sweet almond oil, beeswax, honey, cocoa butter, macadamia seed oil, coconut oil, and jojoba oil to nourish lips.

The lip scrubs this fall/winter are smaller than before, and the oval shaped tin is easy to open. The previous tins were occasionally very difficult to open.

The Orange Cara-Mellow lip scrub tastes exactly as you would think it would. Orange with a hint of caramel. I actually really like it. I thought it would be an odd flavor combination, but it's not! In the tin, I smell more caramel, but taste more orange.

There is also a Snowed In lip scrub this fall/winter, which is a nice vanilla-mint flavor. I will definitely be getting that one this winter!

Perfectly Posh Product Review: Dressed to Chill BFYHC

As you may recall from earlier posts, I am obsessed with the Big Fat Yummy Hand Crèmes. Obsessed might be an understatement, as I currently have 14 different ones sitting here on my desk. Yes, fourteen.

Dressed to Chill is the most recent addition to my collection, and I'm in love once again! They have reformulated the lotion a little bit - they altered the packaging so that they could use less preservatives. This new formula, to me, is awesome because you need EVEN LESS product, and it still absorbs right in to the skin, without leaving hands feeling greasy. In fact, now my hands have an almost powdery  feeling to them!

This BFYHC has coconut oil in addition to the apricot kernel oil the others have. The scent is amazing. It's a nice, light cranberry orange. It's described as "a wintery sweet cranberry orange," and I think that's the perfect description!

As with all other BFYHC, there is no coloring added, so the lotion is white in color. This is also vegan, and flight friendly! There are two types of BFYHC (in my opinion): one is thick, like the Lil Snarky; one is on the thinner side. This one is the thinner type, if that matters to you. I know some people prefer the thicker ones! Me? I don't care. I love them all!

Perfectly Posh new products!

My transition kit is here! I got the Dressed to Chill Big Fat Yummy Hand Crème, Raspberry Beret Snarky Bar, Sugar Mama body scrub, I Love You a Whole Brunch {Chunk} soap, Immunator Skin Stick, Orange Cara-Mellow lip scrub, Giving Me Life face mask, and samples of the I'm Turning Blueberry face mask, and Boho Soul Big Fat Yummy Hand Crème.

I'm so excited to try everything, but I'm going to review ONE product at a time. This is going to take some SERIOUS willpower!!!!

I'm a face mask junkie, so I'm going to start with the Giving Me Life tightening and brightening face mask. This mask is packed with awesome ingredients like Kaolin, Bentonite (clay), and Tea Tree oil to deep clean, Glycerin to exfoliate and hydrate.

There is no added fragrance, so the mask has an earthy scent, similar to clay. It is white, and is nice and thick. With all Posh face masks now in tube form, they are much easier to apply. (And they'll take up a lot less room!)

Unlike other Posh masks which contain kaolin, this mask did not tingle at all while I wore it. It was a very pleasant experience! I left it on for 5 minutes, but I could have left it on for up to 10 minutes. I did not notice any redness after using this mask, which was interesting because most masks make me red for a little while after using them. As always, I made sure to moisturize after I washed the mask off.

Come back next week for a review of the Dressed to Chill BFYHC!

Micellar cleansers

There's a popular cleanser making the rounds, which are called micellar cleansers, or micellar cleansing waters. Micellar water is made up of micelles (tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules) suspended in soft water. Micelles are attracted to dirt and oil, so they are able to draw out impurities without drying out the skin. So what you have, essentially is a cleanser and moisturizer in one. No rubbing or scrubbing. No water needed!

Perfectly Posh has a Micellar Toner that they are offering to brand new Consultants who join between August 1st and August 31st. This is an exclusive product not available for purchase!

As a Posh consultant, you never pay for your website, and you get paid weekly! The starter kit is $99 for over $250 in products, as well as business supplies like catalogs and order forms. You also get a cute Posh Consultant tee and tote!

There is a great 30/60/90 day training program and incentive through your back office where you can earn up to $360 in Perk Points to use towards business supplies or product, as well as personalized labels, business cards, and even a car cling!
